Auction
Auction close: March 27 2011 (Sunday) Dear Collectors, we are glad to offering you our latest auction list full of 'new' old 78rpm records. Finally, we are pleased to present our latest list filled up with rarities. You will find several records tagged with an MB (minimum bid) to be used as general price guide especially for novice collectors and to give them an even chance with placing bids. As we do with each of our lists, we wish you a joyous time while reading and studying this catalog. Occasionally we would like to make it clear that every bidder is responsible for double checking his/her placed bids. Unfortunately we cannot give any refunds for „wrong bids“. Therefore, please always mention the item number and title. While the auction is running, we also provide our fixed price list for new collectors through our website. Therefore you can purchase records from that list too. Attention: A detailled description of the item number with performer is essential to prevent misunderstandings. Please do also keep a strict seperation between auction and fixed price items. Fixed price items are being reserved only for one week to clear payment but can be held until the end of auction to reduce shipping costs. Of course, personal pickup at our store closely after the end of auction is also possible. As usual, please make a clear statement in case you prefer this option. We usually check our records not only by visual grades, but also trying to go into the acoustic playing condition. However, due to the large number of records, it is only possible to do this partially. Each side of a record is graded separately. Critical grooves have been tested by partially playing the record on an electric turntable fitted with a standard stylus. With special shaped diamond styli, the sound may come out much better. Pathé vertical-cut discs are tested with a special Pathé stylus. As we handle a huge amount of records it may be possible that we miss a defect. Reasonable criticism or return of records due to false condition declarations is of course eligible for a full refund of your bid on that item. Please understand that we cannot give refunds on shipping as this is an already processed service. Our service – Partial record previews Are you unsure if the record of your interest is the one you want? Do you require more information about the acoustic impact of a declared condition? Or do you just want to know if that title will meet your musical taste? Call us. We can play you excerpts of the selected record over the phone. Please try to keep your selection of “important” records to a minimum, as many other bidders are going to take advantage of this service as well. Please also notice that this service may be inavailable during the last few days before the auction closes. So, in case, please call us soon! Item numbers written in bold font denote an available photo in this catalogue. Please let us know if you DO NOT wish to take part in our auction, but are still interested in our stock of records. We will update our fixed-price list in the near future. Further, if you would like to participate in our next auction although you did not find anything suitable now, please inform us so that we keep your name as a recipient. After two times of catalogue delivery without any reply of yours, we will automatically stop our free catalog delivery. Your help is necessary. How do I place a bid? There are no additional fees such as tax or premium, only shipping/handling. The minimum bidding increment is 0.50 EUR; please no “cent bids”. The item will normally go to the highest bidder, trade or pre-sale reserved. Equal bids are graded by their arrival time. Please understand that we can only consider successful bidders. Minimum Bid Auction close Shipping With higher bids we also offer the possibility to pay via installments. To make such arrangements it is necessary to contact us BEFORE you bid in order to arrange the modalities.
